Art class and lost camera

Well! I had fun at an art class where we learned to paint trees! I would post pictures except that I seemed to have misplaced my camera. Wahh!!! So I have been looking for it but have not found it yet. I am praying that I find it soon and when I do I shall post pictures of my painted trees.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!!

My little sister and I spent a fun single Valentine's Day together! We listened to music, painted our fingernails, played games, wrote valentines to our friends, laughed and had sister talks!
It was a Valentine's Day to remember!

Tree Pendant

I went and spent some time with my Sister-in-law this last week! We worked with her beads along with all the other fun stuff we did together! This tree pendant is what I made. She made some cool earrings! (Alas! I do not have a picture of them.)

Mulberry Park by Judy Duarte

This is book # 1 out of the 30 that I want to read this year! Mulberry Park has some really fun parts and a lot of it also choked me up. But it was a really good read. I love how they resolved all the threads in the story at the end.

Book blurb:
Each day after work, Claire Harper drives to Mulberry Park and jogs for miles, hoping to find a respite from her sadness. It's a futile effort, until the evening a letter falls from its hiding place in a nearby tree. Inside the bright pink envelope emblazoned with the words "To God From Analisa" is a note written by a seven-year-girl, urging God to look after her parents in Heaven and help those she loves on Earth. On impulse, Claire writes back, hoping to preserve Analisa's innocent belief in answered prayers---even if Claire lost her own faith when her young son was killed in a hit-and-run accident three years earlier.

The New Year

This is my first post in 2014! And already January has flown by! I have some goals I want to meet this year so I am going to put a list of some of them and then post what I accomplish!

1. Make a pillowcase apron
2. Draw more (I will post pictures of what I draw even if it is not that great.)
3. Take a trip to visit friends
4. Hold an outdoor Mothers Day tea
5. Train my horse (He is halfway there)
6. Be able to do 20 pushups in a row (I can do 4)
7. Try new recipes (I will try to post what I make)
8. Read 30 books this year
